Quote:Columnist has ominous warning about J.D. Vance maybe taking over presidency for Trump

Quote:When Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) ran for president in 2008 and picked Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) as his running mate, Democrats tried to drive home the message that Palin was "one weak heartbeat" from the presidency, as McCain at the time was 72 years old.

"We should not get to Election Day without pausing to consider that Trump is 78 and, statistically speaking, far more likely to die in office than the vast majority of our presidents were. Which means we have to evaluate Vance not just as a No. 2, but as a man who stands a significant chance of running the country," Bai encouraged.

That means an official with virtually no political experience who went from an online influencer to a U.S. Senator in the blink of an eye. In his column, Bai cited the many others who have delivered warnings about the vacillating moral flexibility of the Ohio senator.

Yeah well the assholes are lining up behind Trump. He will either become irrelevant or dead in the foreseeable future. And I don't think any who succeed him in his influence will be reformers or the mythical "good Republicans". I mean people often think of Romney as a good or principled republican and he even IS in a relative sense -- but he ran his 2012 campaign on a disgusting aggressive anti-immigrant theme which isn't hard to think of as the progenitor of what we are now faced with. The Party trying it on for size so to speak.

And getting scarier by the day:

Quote:The chair of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Gary Gensler, says the “investing public around the globe has lost too much money” because of crypto companies not following the laws his agency tries to enforce.

It comes as the industry is spending millions of dollars on political donations, trying to influence the outcome of November’s US elections in the hope of more favourable future laws. Link

Yeah, we didn't see that coming...
He didn't have a good word to say about Trump until he saw an opening. He's playing the game God bless him.

Idiocracy is getting even closer. Just give Vance a machine gun...
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

In 2016, Vance sent a message to his law school roommate in
which he wrote that he went "back and forth between thinking
Trump is a cynical asshole… or that he’s America’s Hitler".

In February that year, Vance liked a tweet featuring a photo of
Trump and OJ Simpson that read: "Here is an old picture of
one of the US's most hated, villainous, douchey celebs. Also in
picture: OJ Simpson".

And in an April 2016 op-ed for The New York Times, Vance wrote:
"Mr. Trump is unfit for our nation’s highest office".

Speaking to NPR’s Terry Gross in August 2016, Vance said: "I think
that I’m going to vote third party because I can’t stomach Trump.
I think that he’s noxious and is leading the white working class to
a very dark place".

"I’m a ‘Never Trump’ guy. I never liked him" Vance told journalist
Charlie Rose in October 2016.

Vance wrote on Twitter: "Trump makes people I care about afraid.
Immigrants, Muslims, etc. Because of this I find him reprehensible.
God wants better of us".
I'm a creationist;   I believe that man created God.

It's almost like he doesn't like him. Big Grin
