"The Dead don't Die"
Bored and wandering through choices, thought this would be a fun hip zombie movie.  This thing couldn't have been dumber and I spent the whole time wondering how it could have been green-lit and made at all.  Must be some serious nepotism or favors owed, because they got Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Steve Buscemi, and a bunch of other recognizable talent together for two hours of complete lifeless boredom.  I think it was supposed to be clever like it thinks it's a Coen brothers or Tarentino flick, but ugh it was unwatchable and none of the humor landed for me.  A running gag is that the character Driver plays knows he is just an actor in a movie, so he knows it's all going to "end badly" and he eventually says he has read the script?!  Omg that is so funny, by funny I mean really cringy.  I was wondering how far into filming did Murray, Driver, etc., realize Oh shit this is not what I thought we were doing, this is going to totally suck.  I think very very early.

Dumbfounded is the right word.  The only reason I didn't stop watching it (made it all the way through!) was morbid curiosity over how long it could go on without a single redeeming scene (funny, scary, clever, anything would have been great).  Danny Glover is in it too!

Predator 2 Danny! Their souls...where are their souls....Bruce Willis also springs to mind RE this kind of crap - his recent films - utterly formulaic, bereft of original plot, characters - generic shite. But, of course, we watch it because of "Bruce Willis who was epically awesome in Die Hard and 12 Monkeys!" just as Murry and Glover were in etc etc etc. Their souls....

Bruce Willis - the "Detective Knight" trilogy is what I was thinking of. So poor.

ETA: so bad it's good is a thing I agree, morbid curiosity you called it. "The Orville" springs to mind. Love that show. Utter, utter, laughable tripe.

I often wonder, as actors age out of younger roles and certainly shouldn’t need more money, if it’s just a last gasp that are still important? Relevant?  Top actors usually really enjoy film making and all the processes involved and want to experience it again.  It’s understandable but are they just trying to chase more fame?  More money?  Or just the experience?

Actors have to eat, too.  And their agents want their 10%!

A lot of actors, and entertainers develop a condition
known as "relevance deprivation syndrome".

The term relevance deprivation syndrome can be
traced back to the Australian politician Gareth Evans.
After a long career in politics, Evans felt a giant void
from the loss of prominence, status and influence.

Relevance deprivation syndrome was then used to
label other politicians, who were desperate to stay
in the public eye by writing letters to the editor,
attending conferences, and pontificating to anyone
willing to lend an ear—although it extends far beyond
politicians, and rappers such as Snoop Dogg.   Sad.
