At the very best JD is complaining about why/how no one ever made him responsible for anyone else's life.  Which is just...perfect...for their "your body my choice" campaign.  The reich has lost the script.

I'll bet every senior NCO who has ever met this guy has their eyes rolling to the backs of their heads seeing this coof on the ticket for VP.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I doubt Vance could lead a squad to a latrine if they had amoebic dysentery.

Vance served in the Marine Corps for four years, although he
never saw combat. He served as a combat correspondent in
Iraq for five months during his short military career,

Bingo. I was there, too. Ain't no shame, either. That doesn't qualify any of us to pronounce who is and isn't a hero.

Bottom line, don't spit on the service of another veteran. Especially who served 20 more years than you and rose to the highest rank. Have some respect.

Yes, I know that's a big ask for this Republican ticket. They cannot respect anyone else because they have no self-respect.

The simple fact is that the Army is not a travel agency.  You don't tell them where you want to go - they tell you where to go.  Whenever they wish.

We have Ruben Gallego ( an actual kick-in-doors, combat veteran ) running against that useless cunt, Kari Lake for the senate.

Former senator Martha McSally was a fighter pilot.  I doubt that either of them used any of those skills in Congress.  John McCain spent years in a North Vietnamese prison camp after nearly being killed when his plane was shot down.

None of that stopped Cadet Bonespurs from dissing him - and all other veterans at times - when the mood strikes him.  And Vance should just keep his fucking mouth shut.

I hope not.  The more than comes out of the mouth of his the more voters will be repulsed.  There's likely even a mathematical equation for it, e.g. 10 voters removed per syllable.

Just to say, we GIs referred to that shit as "fruit salad". It's not why we served, it was just window-dressing. My firefighter's badge meant more to me than the rest of the uniform.

Kamala Harris leads felon and disgraced former president Trump
in three crucial battleground states, according to new surveys by
The New York Times and Siena College, the latest indication of a
dramatic reversal in standing for Democrats after Biden’s departure
from the presidential race remade it.

Harris is ahead of Trump by four percentage points in Wisconsin,
Pennsylvania and Michigan, 50 percent to 46 percent among likely
voters in each state. The surveys were conducted from 5-9 August.

On question after question, the polls find that voters don’t seem to
have any major reservations about Harris.  Voters also view Harris
as more intelligent and more temperamentally fit to govern
than Trump.

Across all three states, JD Vance is viewed broadly unfavourably by
independent voters:  About one-third said they were dissatisfied,
and another 17% described themselves as "angry" about his selection.
Strikingly, he received lukewarm support from a notable number of
Republican voters.

I feel exceedingly neutral about Walz. He is a much better pick than Hillary made. Talk about milquetoast. It is safe to say he won't overshadow Harris. He is homespun folksy talking dude. I wanted Buttigeig. I am not for a pick that solely secures a home state. That seems short sighted. A rhetorical mastermind transcends regional politics.

No. One is a subjective feeling, the other is a reality claim that can be supported or refuted based on factual analysis.
