Biden just gave a quick speech: Explaining stepping down, listing accomplishments, talking about what he still working on, encourage voting in Nov to save democracy. Patting himself on the back for handing the baton to a new generation made me chuckle a bit. He looks in bad shape, I hope these next six months don't require sudden and demanding executive leadership.

Dude's 81. Stepping away from the campaign is the right decision. I can't imagine Trump taking that decision and then going on-air to explain himself to the American public.

He’s already bitching about his campaign having to retool for Harris and that it was some pre arranged plot. The Republicans are beside themselves after all their “Biden’s too old”, he should drop out. And now that he has, they’re screaming about that!

Republicans in disarray will never be on the NYT but, for once, it should be.
