First poem in more than 7 years

[AutisticWill]

[two boys, 13; one with black hair, the other blond]

     As a gesture of fun,
     I put the oil paint on the man I love,
     but he was angry.

     I brought him the first daisy I found,
     but they were said to be for little girlies.

     I put a mirror in my palms to present the sun to him.
     but he closed his eyes.

     I said I love you,
     but I don't think he heard me.

Interesting.  I am working on something similar, though it is a series of linked short stories.  I am thinking of putting a line of poetry at the beginning of each chapter. I envision ten chapters each titled with a first name arranged sequentially across the protagonists first two decades of life.
