[SYZ#2]

G'day admins.      

It's SYZ here.  A couple of days ago, my usual, long-term password stopped
working—I have no idea why?

I've attempted to reset my password twice, but on both occasions I got an
error message on the response email saying they were invalid.

I also tried to reset one of my other prior username passwords, ausGeoff, but
that also failed.

I decided the only way I could gain entry to the forum was to re-register with
a new account username and password.....   so here I am!

Could someone kindly reinstate my "SYZ" account, and delete this temporary
"SYZ#2" account and its password?

I'm sorry if this causes any grief, but I'll look forward to being resurrected(!)
as SYZ.

This happened after an update for your browser, right? I have the same problem and have learned to simply wait until the passwords work again, usually less than two hours.

I rarely clear my cache, but the missing passwords and impossible to get a new password phenom still happens. My passwords were there, they still worked, but not for a few hours after the update.

So it has now been quite a while since I've run into the "Can't Connect" issue.  Sometimes a post seems to take a few extra seconds to go through but even that is noticeably decreased.  I don't know what you did but it seems to have made a significant improvement in board functionality.

Since when did you notice the decrease in the extra seconds it takes to post something? I changed something yesterday that I thought would directly impact that... that was about 18 hours ago? Give or take.

Something I did previously may have indirectly impacted the posting delay, though.

I'd say that I noticed it this morning when I posted a link in the Who's Dead thread.  The link was to a NY Times story and it did seem to take a few extra seconds to go through.  the thought " hadn't seen that in a while" crossed my mind.

The far bigger issue was the constant "can't connect to this site" error which could sometimes require 10-12 refreshes to go through.  That was annoying and I haven't seen that in a week or so.  At my age, time is a very fluid concept.

Mine don't. Still takes about 20 to 45 seconds to process. The timeouts are gone, that much I can confirm.

Yes; that was my major issue too, but I haven't had it happen for a few weeks now... testicles crossed!

I still get 5-8 seconds whirlygig delay on a fairly regular basis, but I've never had to reload, so no complaints.

I think the delay would not be so annoying if the "post reply" button grayed out after it's clicked. Then you get some obvious visual feedback that the post is processing.

I can do it, but I'm not in a place where I can log into the admin panel. If I don't have it fixed in 12 hours, nudge me.
