As a matter of interest, why are we talking about knee
replacements in a "topical" thread?  Aren't these supposed
to be... uh... well...  on topic?



NSW obviously still has a problem with case numbers hardly
decreasing, and the NT position is untenable.  This is due to
the isolation and lack of physical communication with really
remote Aboriginal settlements, coupled with their fear of the
"white fellas' poison".  My home state, Victoria, is doing well.

In comparison, NYC with a population of 8,804,000 has
1,760 active cases of COVID, versus Victoria's population
of 6,500,000 with only 63 active cases.  Obviously Trump's
earlier misinformation during the pandemic, coupled with
his blatant lies and bogus statistics is still having an ongoing
negative effect—maybe across the entire US?

This could be represented by the United Sates having 3,490
COVID deaths per one million people to date, versus Australia
with only 846 deaths per million—or more than four times less
than the US.

(My little voice in the wilderness still says that Trump should be
charged, and tried in the World Court for crimes against humanity.)

The US could have averted 40% of the deaths from COVID,
had the country’s death rates corresponded with the rates
in other high-income G7 countries, according to a Lancet
Commission tasked with assessing disgraced president Trump’s health
policy record.

In a wide-ranging assessment published on 20 February 2021,
the Commission reported Trump "brought misfortune to the
US and the planet" during his four years in office. The stinging
critique not only blamed Trump, but also tied his actions to the
historical conditions which made his presidency possible.

There is NO way this bombastic, draft-dodging buffoon, excuse for
a genuine politician should ever be allowed near the White House.
