I had my right knee replaced over ten years ago…it’s still doing great. When I had the surgery, I wasn’t able to bend my knee very much nor could I straighten it out all the way. My PT was sometimes excruciating and getting the knee to straighten took longer than the bending. I have very good flexibility in it now.
True, I can’t kneel. I couldn’t for years before surgery either. I still get occasional banding (feeling like an ace bandage is wrapped around the knee) usually do to sleeping too long with my leg in one position. It quickly eases as I go through bending it.
I will state that I’ll never do that surgery again unless they keep me in a coma for two weeks. It’s one small clip from an amputation and I’m very resistant to pain meds. The pain was excruciating That’s me, though. I know plenty of people that had no real issues.
