Medical personnel regularly give life-saving treatment to people who need it because they have been stupid. They aren't supposed to judge, they are supposed to heal. My daughter used to be an ER nurse and is used to people putting things up various body orifices (all of them, not just the ones that come to mind) and not just little kids but grown-ass adults sane enough to hold down jobs, who should know better.
Why should they take precedence over people with "legitimate" needs for hospital beds
such as for hip replacements, coronary artery bypasses, mastectomies or colectomies?
Refusing vaccines and basic precautions and then taking up medical resources is also made worse than it needs to be because we've made healthcare artificially scarce and predatory due to our unique for-profit system, underpaid workers, etc.
Then there is the problem that a lot of people who aren't vaxxed are really hostage to spouses or pastors or other "leaders" who simply won't allow it. Whether it's willing / Stockholm Syndrome-driven or unwilling, the end result is the same.
Even if we confine it to people over 18, it is just going to feed their persecution complex and create backlash and toxicity and we have enough of that.
All that said, I'm all for refusing treatment to people who spit on you like animals when you suggest vaccine or some treatment not involving horse de-wormer. That's just called "boundaries". "Ma'am, this is what we offer here, if you don't want it, go to the nearest veterinarian."
