Nothing has changed for us. I have generally said that when my county's 7 day moving average of new cases drops into single digits and stays there for a couple of weeks, I'll loosen up. But it hasn't yet, and now that they have stopped contact tracing and even reporting requirements are relaxed, I'm not sure how much I should even trust the numbers. And with mask mandates ending in the past few days, I want to see what impacts that has.
Not that far away in Rhode Island, things are building again anyway.
If we break the cycle of a summer surge (Delta) and a winter surge (Omicron) this year then I'll feel much better. In the meantime it costs me next to zilch to mask up and stay out of public spaces.
