I'm vaccinated. If I do get infected, that reduces the chance I'll infect someone else. I had Pfizer. One large study showed that Pfizer reduced the chance of transmission by 65%.

You're masked and staying 6 feet away from me. That reduces the chance of transmission.

You're vaccinated. That reduces the chance you'll be infected.

You're vaccinated. That reduces the chance that you'll be hospitalized if you do get infected.

Put it all together, and the chance that I'll put you in the hospital is tiny.

I see.  So you're playing amateur epidemiologist.  With Delta, even if you were vaccinated you could spread it to others as viral loads were high in the early stages of infection even in vaccinated people.  I don't know about Omicron.  So your logic doesn't hold water.  And a 1 in 3 chance of transmission isn't tiny by any means.

Omicron is even easier to transmit regardless of vaccination status. Vaccinated and boosted people just don't tend to die from it, just the elderly, infirm and those with underlying conditions die from it. Some 2000 people a day.

That's not always true though.  Delta is still killing people of all ages who aren't vaccinated and Omicron can kill younger people.     A 27 year old young women and mother of 6 (yes, six children) died of Covid because she wasn't vaccinated as a result of her religious beliefs.
Crystal was pregnant with their sixth child - a boy named Koda.
After New Year's Day, the couple tested positive for COVID-19. She was 24 weeks pregnant at the time. Days later, she was admitted to the hospital.
Rico says the couple were not vaccinated due to their beliefs.
"Me and my wife, we talked about it, she was pregnant and so she had some concerns," Rico said. "It all happened so fast."
Rico says within days, Crystal was transferred to another hospital, and by Jan. 6, doctors performed an emergency C section and Baby Koda was born at 25 weeks old.
This is from several months ago but this is a 43 year old woman who thought it was the government injecting chips in the vaccine.  She justifies not getting a shot for various reasons.  It almost killed her.

All this suffering is unnecessary.   As Biden said, this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated.   I wonder how many people at the hockey game Percies went to were unvaccinated?
