853,740 Americans have died so far.  That is how many people grieving over lost loved ones, how many jobs unfilled, how many people needing public assistance? 

We sometimes forget that many of the job openings in the U.S. were caused by people dying.

620,000 of those were 65 or older. Only 58,000 under 50. The impact on jobs was small.
