I'm undecided on the booster.

Get one.  End of story.     

Personally I think that government authorities, professional organizations, and big pharma (and big food when appropriate) tend to be in bed together to sell drugs (and unhealthy food).

Note so at all; that's typical of conspiracy theorists.  So-called "big pharma"—a
willfully pejorative term coined by the naturopaths, chiropractors, homeopaths
and other assorted woo merchants—have produced millions of doses of COVID
vaccines that've potentially saved the lives of billions of people the world over.
If it weren't for BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna,  et al, who else
would you say was going to produce an effective vaccine?   Your local naturopath,
acupuncturist, or kinesiologist?
