Homelessness and starvation are pretty bad for you too. What do you think about those? Point being that, as said, we can't lock down the world forever. Serious viruses have always been around. Production can't be shut down indefinitely, or eventually there's no food, heat, etc.


OTOH, since omicron is a milder variant, it might be better to get it now in order to boost immunity in advance of the next variant, which could be more serious.

Who is talking about shut downs? We vaccinate everyone, we don't need any stinking shut downs.

A longer shut down at the start would have starved the virus out. I think now the horses have left the stable. Now we need to vaccinate, and not just ourselves. If the virus is going to stop morphing it needs to be stomped out all over the world. 

I do think that eventually we will have yearly vaccines like the flu shot, slightly different every year to cope with the constantly changing virus. Meanwhile, vaccinate and boost as indicated by the current durability of the vaccines. If you don't, you are killing people. It's not all about yourself. Love thy neighbor...
