I suffered from covid at home for two weeks in November 2020.  It never got bad enough for me to go to the hospital, but I was coughing all the time and sleep deprived because of it.  I was miserable, but at least I have not had any long term effects.

My sister Linda in Texas wasn't so lucky.  She got covid in February, and although she never had to go to the hospital either, she has suffered long-term effects.  She has been unusually tired, couldn't sleep normally, and couldn't think straight for most of this year.  I believe she's only slowly improving.
