I have been monitoring this for a few weeks but:
Romania is in the middle of a crisis of epic proportions. Dont wanna bore you with details (maybe later, its tragic and bizarre), but its health system is collapsing right now. Prices for some basic food are rising by 50% within a few weeks, first few minor riots started.
A team of top medicals in Bukarest has written an open letter to the romanian people BEGGING them (30% vaccination rate!) to get vaccinated, to take this pandemic serious, as nothing else could impress them...until now.
Romania has ca. 20mio people (Texas has 30) and on AVERAGE 14k people get infected and 300 people die, each.fucking.day......and no light at the end of the tunnel.
Its insane, its tragic and the cause is: Stupidity. Romaina had to sell MILLIONS of doses (which it got pretty early on in Janauary!!) because noone cares to get vaccinated.
