I have a good friend who is a respiratory therapist at a hospital here in Portland and he sees about 2 deaths a day from the patients he's caring for. Before the vaccine he used to feel a lot of sympathy for those suffering with Covid but not anymore. Sure, he does his job now and cares for those who are sick with Covid but the difference is that they're unvaccinated and he's not feeling a whole lot of sympathy anymore.
A couple of days ago a freezer morgue truck slowly lumbered along and and parked in the back of the hospital and he sent us a private photo on facebook of the big ol freezer truck ouside his work area with the comment, "Oh, goody-goody, the temporary morgue truck has shown up." Poor Ernie, he's been reduced to gallows humor now.
