I think the other group of people in the anti-vax mix are the anti-Big Pharma folks. For the last 30 years Big Pharma has been depicted as evil and something to be mistrusted. Fear mongering is a big thing with the anti-pharmaceutical crowd. To them Big Pharma is a large scale, systematic scheme out to get your money by selling you unnecessary overpriced drugs that have huge side effects and vaccines are part of Big Pharma so the Covid vaccine is to be mistrusted too. Nevermind that cancer isn't quite the death sentence it once and millions of lives have been saved from modern anti-biotics. Don't consider that modern technology has created hip replacement surgery and heart operations that extend life, like the operation Gawzilla is going to have done. Don't think about that. Just think about the fact that Big Pharma is the modern Big Bad Wolf and don't you forget it!
So, in my opinion, we have a variety of anti-vax types and it's all based on fear and ignorance. It's not just religious nuts.
