No. That's bullshit. My teenage daughter does not need a babysitter and neither do other high school-age kids. She loves school and WANTS to be in school, on campus, and learning.
Delta is not "taking out children at an alarming rate." California has had zero Covid-19 deaths in people ages 0-17 since the start of the pandemic. Hear that? Zero. Go ahead and double down on your fear-mongering. The facts don't bear out your claims.

Our schools now have an online academy for parents who are too scared to send their kids to in person school. But you wouldn't know that because you don't have any children in school.
You're not qualified with any credibility to comment on the damage that a year and a half of Zoom school has done to millions of US students. Not qualified at all.
Funny how self-identified progressive Democrats bemoan the sorry state of America with uneducated voters voting in fruitcakes like the last US president and refusing Covid-19 shots for spurious reasons yet at the same time obtusely favor keeping public schools closed for... what, forever?
Listening to progressives twist themselves into pretzels justifying interrupting and halting education for US public school students is like reading The Onion.
