new COVID-19 cases in almost six months. Tokyo reported 1,149 new cases on Wednesday,
the highest since 1,184 were reported almost six months ago in late January. This new figure
also marked the 25th straight day that cases were higher than they were a week earlier.
Fewer than 20% of the Japanese population have been fully vaccinated, with only 85% of
attending athletes being fully vaccinated. Is this a potential recipe for disaster? My opinion
is that the Games should've been postponed until 2022.
