Of our six states and two territories, we have all borders closed and/or restricted
for interstate travellers, with passes for essential workers being provided if they've
tested negative. Most states now require masks to be worn outdoors at all times,
or in public indoor places or gathering. Numbers of attendees are limited in theatres,
gymnasiums, supermarkets, hotels, churches, libraries etc either by unit floor area
per person or a percentage of the venue's normal capacity.
We also have to check into all shops and public venues with a QR code from our
phones, or signing into a written register at the building's entrance. Basically no
mask, no entry.
Public distancing is 1.5 metres (5 feet) from all other persons, except for necessary
contact such as shopping, buying tickets, medical or dental appointments etc. All
medical clinics and hospitals require mandatory IR temperature recording before entry.
It's also mandatory for drivers of Uber, taxis, buses etc to wear masks, and drivers
of private vehicles if they're carrying another non-family and/or household member.
Specific geographical "red zones" are now in full lockdown in our capital cities.
