More on the surge in Michigan after reopening schools and indoor dining. The quote sums it all up best, I think; even democratic governors are caving to business interests and staking their hopes on vaccination rather than on spread prevention.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) asked White House officials to send more doses to harder-hit parts of the country, including her own state, rather than strictly distributing vaccines by population, reported the Washington Post.
Earlier this month, Whitmer told CNN that the state's strategy was to focus on administering vaccines and promoting face masks rather than reinstating restrictions.
