What put her in the dog house was an interview she gave CNN where she said that living in the country did not protect against Covid. That provoked a call from trump threatening her. She hasn't said what he threatened her with. He wasn't talking to her at all after that, and she had no way to reach him.
That's when she got busy trying to work locally with the states instead of going through him. Fauci says so too.
Apparently she was simply marginalized. Which is to be expected for anyone who crosses Fuckface. She could have quit and publicly blasted the asshole on her way out the door but she choose not to and kept working. I doubt that I would have had similar diligence in like circumstances.
