Pelosi and Schumer have already welcomed Trump's proposal. The real non-question is whether the GOP will go along with that. I think everyone in the room knows they won't.

I would guess they would go for it if enough money was taken off the table on the backend, the pure non-Covid boondoggle stuff, to cover the higher cost per individual/family. Question would be if the Dems want to consider that or make a political play of it and say no, must include everything as is.
