For all of Trump’s bullishness on the coronavirus vaccine, his administration declined to order
additional rounds of Pfizer’s vaccine when offered the opportunity months ago, leaving the US
to wait behind other countries that made deals. The FDA could approve the Pfizer vaccine,
created in collaboration with the German firm BioNTech, within a week. But Trump has reserved
only 100 million doses of the vaccine, enough to cover 50 million people, or fewer than one
in six Americans.

Wow.  Do you have a source for this?  Not questioning your information because, you know....trump and stupid go together like liver and onions. But I just wonder where you read this.  Thanks.

I heard that on the news today too. No time now for googling an article...

The secretary of HHS was on the tube this morning saying this was because Pfizer wouldn't commit to specific dates, but that they have options for more doses later, as well as a lock on output from several other vaccine makers. He thinks we'll see some general population vaccinations by February, though it won't be a universal program (or as he put it, "generally available to all who want it") until maybe April.

You have to consider the source here, but I do think the left latches onto stuff like this a little too eagerly sometimes, to their ultimate discredit. This might be a dumb decision, it might not. There's not enough info that I've seen yet, to say.
