We're gradually relaxing restrictions in Australia, although still wearing masks and maintaining
the 1.5 metre personal distancing.
Yesterday, Monday, we had 8 new cases and one death (a 90-year-old male in a nursing home).
One of the concerning issues in my opinion is that as the restrictions are relaxed, the public's
perception of the seriousness of the pandemic diminishes disproportionately. Far too many
younger people are starting to respond socially as though we're back to a pre-pandemic stage.
As an older Aussie, I'm worried about an effective "third wave" of the coronavirus if this slack
attitude continues to grow, particularly over our Christmas/New Year holidays tourist season.
