Coronavirus spreads. But don't panic! (topical thread)

Daily infection numbers all across Europe are now 2-3 times of what they were in late March!
For reference:
UK:
In March it had 5k cases per day, and that was considered to be a very bad handling by the BoJo administration. Yesterday the UK reported 17k infections.
Spain:
In march 8k. In mid September it reported ca. 12k cases, but is going down again (lets hope that is true for everyone else too). Madrid was declared a "state of emergency" yesterday.
France:
Peaked out at 8k (while the average was rather 4k). Over the last week France reported 13k on average, peaking out at 30k.
EU as a whole:
In March the 7-day average was 30k.Last week its 52k, with more than 70k cases reported (each day) the past 2 days.
From what i have read its attributed to the weather (autumn, getting cold and humid, flu season). If this will pan out in a similar fashion in (parts of?) the US, then you better check your TP stocks, seriously.
