Sounds good to me.  Reducing my risk is always a benefit.  And non-mask wearers can die alone I hope and not infect the rest of us.

Therein lies the problem. Surgical masks and community masks protect other people (N95s or more advanced, protect the self).

The idea is to avoid water particles from spit, cough etc to be spread in the air where others breathe, reducing the rate of infection.

By not wearing a mask a person can attach droplets of water to another person mask(a sneeze, even by talking), then infecting that person as the virus will be breathed in as droplets stick to the others person mask.

The risk would be greatly diminished if all wear masks. If an infected person speaks to another, the droplets sustaining the virus will be stuck on the inside of the infected mask, away from the uninfected mask. There is the crux.

I wear an N95...

So you're protected. As long you replace it everyday...
