In exchange for the Randian calculus that maybe a million plus dead people is acceptable collateral damage in the service of "herd immunity", the prospect of it working its way through everyone has at least an ultimate upside.

Evidence is mounting that people may be able to be re-infected with Covid; this is not unusual for viral infections, including other coronaviruses; and, in general, we know far less than we don't know about Covid-19 immunity.
