Hopefully the hospitals will be all able to switch from respirators to oxygenation machines. They work like the kidney dialysis machines - take blood out, process it and put it back in. They have much better outcomes than ventilators, apparently Covid patients have lungs that are too weak to endure the invasion of a machine and forced breathing movements.
If the oxygenation machines became available in my neck of the woods, it would be a game changer for me. I then would go to the hospital if I contracted Covid.
