Short version: We let the rich buy the key figures in government and they have fucked it into the ground.

Our government is like a military squad where half the soldiers are sabotaging the equipment and not passing on vital information.
My suspicion is that the rich have owned the gov for a long time, but that they are now circling in like vultures to take it all over. I'm a bit ashamed to be a top 1-percenter, atm.
