Yeah. It's pretty sad. The big companies will suffer but somehow make it in the end but small regional theatres will go under. My husband and I are still on board to produce a small production of Eugene Ionesco's play, Rhinoceros (a play about fascism) in October. Emphasis on "small". The plan is to rent a theatre which will be large enough to seat people more than 6 ft apart with required masks so we may only have 50 people in the audience. The cast and crew will have to be constantly tested. We don't know if this is going to actually happen but so far we've got $20,000 in grant money lined up and we're going to see if we can hit a sweet spot between the covid 19 waves.
