However, thread after thread are being hijacked by the same usual suspects, who embroil yet another member in a petty, infantile fight and it's bothersome.

I look at any given discussion as a series of discussions, some on-topic and some off.  I am more surprised by the longevity of certain discussions than by the fact that they get derailed.

But perhaps that's due to the fact that my own attention span isn't that great either.  I tend to skip around, and over, a lot.
