Which is another thing - old folks should be allowed to exit peacefully when they want, instead of sneaking around hoarding pills or blowing their brains out. I don't think that a peaceful death is too much to ask for.
What's your preference? I want to consider it. All options on the table... Nothing messy though.
Death with dignity. You go to your doc and get a couple of pills, you take them when you want. Same as the death with dignity act that now applies to the terminally ill in Oregon.
I had a loved cat euthanized a few weeks ago. Sedation, then a final shot. She died while I listened to her purrs stop. Took only a few seconds. I want to leave like that.
