Alz requires 24 hour supervision once progressed past a certain stage. So, she would get help in caring for you at home until you reach that stage.
Me, I would take the big exit anyway if that was coming close.
Which is another thing - old folks should be allowed to exit peacefully when they want, instead of sneaking around hoarding pills or blowing their brains out. I don't think that a peaceful death is too much to ask for.
