Are you saying that two squadrons of retired military fighters the cost an average on $10,000/maintenance hour PER PLANE is a bad use of our resources?  

All I know is that on the local news last night they were cumming in their pants because the Air Force announced that a whole shitload of planes was going to do a flyover of the whole Phoenix metro area from Luke AFB.  Luke is a training base for F-16s and F-35s.  As far as I know the F-35, even though it is a massive boondoggle that should never have been built, is not "retired."  I also seem to recall that it costs far more than $10,000/hour to maintain and it needs several hours of "maintenance" for every hour spent in the air.  I hope no pilots are killed in this asinine stunt.

Oh, don't worry.  I understand they are continuing the Pentagon's PR Tour on the East Coast today.  You know, there are no sports events for the Pentagon to subsidize going on so they have to do something with their advertising budget!
