Interesting that this notion requires convincing when it seems to me obvious on its face. Very few enterprises don't make profit higher priority than their product and will constantly seek means to erode expenses to as close to zero as can be gotten away with. Any enterprise with human well-being as its principle product is going to be dangerous for its recipients unless the enterprise is run as a non-profit, in broad strokes. Given the opportunity to get $5 or save a stranger from getting hit by a bus way too much of mankind will look the other way and assuage their conscience by recommending a reputable car-wash to the bus operator.
