I get the feeling that many of them are about to learn exactly how useless prayer is.

None of 'em learned how useless it is during the black plague outbreaks. They'll continue to count the hits and ignore the misses as they've been doing for a couple thousand years.

Maybe. Or maybe they'll get the numbers through the Evil Mass Media and realize that cooping up in a church not only didn't do shit, it only made the problem worse in their demographic?

This Information Age thing can cut six ways to Sunday. Maybe when the pews get emptied by the virus they'll listen.

I don't know. With their ability to count the hits while ignoring the misses, cherry picking favorable information, general delusions and willful ignorance, I don't find the types of people who think it's ok to go to church during a raging pandemic, "'cuz gawd will pertect us!" to be the most open minded of people. Aren't they also the majority of President Chuckle-fuck's 40 percenters? The daily evidence hasn't budged them in that regard.
