Our province has just declared a state of emergency and closed the borders. Anybody coming in will be required to observe a 14 day quarantine. Social gatherings are limited to a maximum of 5 persons. Many businesses have been ordered closed. Most others must keep customers to fewer than 5. Restaurants are take-out only. Grocery stores and pharmacies are exempt from the customer cap but must maintain social distancing.
So far we only have a few dozen cases, all travel-related but we've seen what happens if you wait until community spread starts. I just hope that this is enough and in time.
