Coronavirus spreads. But don't panic! (topical thread)

My 8th grader daughter's school is closed for the next month and she told me her friend was in school with a fever and cough this week that was worsening.
My work is moving to possibly have employees work from home. I'm going to set up the spare bedroom as an office in case I need to hunker down and work in there.
Many community events in my city are flat out being cancelled.
A coworker who bravely went to Costco said there were hordes of people waiting to enter the store and the police were there, for crowd control I assume.
I'm worried about going out in public but the idea of staying at home and not going outside to be among other humans is dreadful.

Can you take walks, down to a local park, that sort of thing?  There are ways to get out without getting into "public".

Wow, I'm so sorry someone sent their child to school ill, particularly right now!! 
I keep hearing CostCo's are essentially mobbed.
