Some American epidemiologist has estimated that the true extent of the epidemic is conceivably as high as 9000 cases but that we will most likely never know due to the lack of testing, the one bonus of this is that if that is the case it could mean the number of mild cases in America is greater and the mortality rate lower than current figures suggest.
