This year is turkey free, the last two years I've tried to cook turkey and its always dry so I'm cooking duck this year served with roast potatoes parsnips sprouts pigs in blankets and stuffing. I'm going to glaze the duck with red currant jelly and Chinese five spice seasoning.
It's Christmas pudding and custard for dessert. Boxing day I'm doing baked ham with carrot and butternut squash and if I can find them, some yams. Drinks include mulled wine for my mum and spiced non alcoholic ginger beer for me. Snacks include crisps (chips) twiglets peanuts and roasted hazelnuts walnuts and pecans I may make some parmasan/paprika cheese straws and there will be chocolates and Turkish delight too.

Does anyone have any meatless Christmas suggestions? Asking for a friend.
You know, living in hell is a lot more boring than I thought it would be.

My contribution will be prosecco. I have a huge family that always makes too much food.
Step on the gas and wipe that tear away...
We go out for Chinese with friends.

For example, fresh baked rolls, mashed potatoes, peas and mushrooms. I also like a lentil loaf which is easy to make and many places also sell them premade. Appetizer ideas: stuffed mushrooms, hummus and veggies, date nut rolls, water crackers and olive tapenade. Desserts: Really anything you like can be made vegan I like baked pears with nondairy or regular vanilla ice cream.
I'm not sure what I'm doing for my Xmas menu. Maybe stuffed acorn squash, green beans almondine, and a salad.

Thanks for the menu ideas!
All you vegans really seem to dig food more than the average person.

Ham.
I've got no idea yet. It'll probably be at Mom's or a cousin's. Either way I think my contribution will be a lasagna.
On hiatus.

We're currently gearing up for about a week of noms, starting with a celebration of Yule on Saturday night. We'll be making a lot of appetizers over the next few days, including crab-stuffed mushrooms, homemade dim sum, spanakopita, devilled eggs, and a lot of gourmet cheese. Going out this evening to pick up the cheese.
Main dish on Christmas day will be roast duck. Undecided as to the side dishes. And we've only just started baking the cookies, cakes and other sweets.
After thanksgiving I'm saying fuck it and just grilling steaks with baked potato's, corn, bread, pie.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
You mean baked yams, corn on the cob, and pecan pie, don'tcha?
My Christmas dinner is going to be a bit complicated. I'm having beef. My wife is having a pastry thing with cheese and vegetables in it... Three of my kids are just having the vegetables, and the other is having Gammon. That's without sorting everyone's pudding!
Sod trying to do a starter lol.
He loves me?
If it looks like decent weather, I'll try and talk my one son into smoking a tri-tip. Then baked potatoes, broccoli, and some other things. I could pick up some yams, they're always good. It just dawned on me. I'll be shopping at CostCo tomorrow, and it's going to be a complete ant-farm, this close to xmas.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Yup, we're going to get the vegetables and milk last minute on Monday and it's going to be really shitty at tesco but everything else is OK all the loose ends like medications are sorted.
