Yes, SYZ, but sometimes they serve only to throw gas on the fire. Yes, the bank was wrong but the cops' actions were racist right from the start. Again, I want to see what happens when the next white guy stands up quickly and gets handcuffed for it. I do not expect to see that in my lifetime.
You won't ever see it unless you go looking for it yourself. Don't count on the media to report it. If they do, it will be a one time report and they won't replay it over and over again. They rarely report police conduct in regards to white or Hispanic suspects. But if you dig into it, you'll find tons of incidents of police misconduct towards non black suspects.
But this case wasn't police misconduct. They didn't have to wait until the guy "stood up quickly." They had enough information to arrest him upon arrival. If there's already enough to arrest, and the guy gets up, what else are they gonna do in that situation? Let him run? Let him get violent? The guys own words, he admits it. "I stood up, like I'm mad." Cops are gonna handcuff anyone in this situation, for their safety. Acting pissed off and standing up like you're gonna fight or leave? I don't see anything wrong here. The guy didn't get beat. Cops didn't use the N word. It seemed pretty professional. Cops don't have to be nice. Yeah, they're dicks, and I don't trust a lot of them. This guy was wronged by the bank, not the cops.
