Singling out Republicans for criticism on this issue is refusing to hold Democrats accountable for going along with these laws, which are on the books in quite a few states.

Yeah, but such conservative types never criticize Republicans. They don't care what Republicans do, so they're insincere.

I don't think @PopeyesPappy is insincere at all. I've interacted with him online for well over six years across at least three different forums (here, AF.com, and AF.org), and he comes across the same way over the years and through different user-bases, so I don't see him pushing any agenda other than his own opinions. I don't agree with all of them, but that's fine. He's plain-spoken but polite, willing to provide sources etc, and amenable to reason. I've seen him criticize Republicans as well as Dems, too.

His point here is, I think, fair. Dems as well as Republicans have supported forfeiture laws. That's a fact. I think dismissing his view as partisan, which is what you seem to be doing here, isn't really fair, given Dem support for such bullshit as well. My own opinion is that you should address his point rather than accuse him of bias right off. Any bias he might hold will come out in the conversation.

I'm not a Republican. I can't remember the last time I voted for a Republican candidate in a national election. I don't think I ever have. In the upcoming election I will vote for Biden, Doug Jones, and if there is someone running against Mo Brooks I'll vote for them. 

What's not funny is you are so wrapped up in your hate for Republicans that you automatically assume all bad policies are Republican policies. So much so that when someone points out the policy you are bitching about was passed into law with bipartisan support from a government that is 2/3rds controlled by democrats your first reaction is to lash out at the person that points out it wasn't really a republican policy.

I didn't say it was a Republican policy. I said Republicans generally do not care about civil forfeiture. I see nothing inaccurate about that statement.

His point is that many Democrats apparently don't care either. There's nothing inaccurate about that either.
