I note that the average salary for a prisons correctional officer is only $34,745 (or AU$48,100) in Alabama.  
For that sort of pissy salary you can work as a shop assistant in Australia, and spend most of your day with
your finger up your arse doing very little.  Maybe the US should be paying their prison guards a much higher
salary, considering the personal dangers and stressors they put up with every day?    As they say, "you pay
peanuts and get monkeys".

Here in Australia, the average salary for a correctional officer is AU$70,119 or 50% more than in the US.

If, as I presume, you're asking me that I "defend these heroes", you seem to be still struggling with the
misconception that I defend—or ever have "defended"—police brutality.  You need to read my comments a little
more closely, and understand the thrust of those comments.  I'm also at a loss to understand why you seem
so continually, and personally, obsessed with these issues.  Especially as you refuse to explain exactly what's
dropped that massive anti-police chip on your shoulder.

Of course, we all abhor police and/or prison legalised thuggery, but you really need to lighten up a bit, or get
away from your keyboard occasionally mate.    Your obsessive focus on this is verging on the paranoid.
