Neither are you...did you killed yourself yet? No? What the hell man! When you are gunned down in your house for no other reason that you might not be an angel you fucking deserved to die! How dare you live! This is an injustice of the highest level. I demand you get killed for not being an angel or failing that, I demand you fall on your own sword for the sake of angels of pure virtue your very presence and existence soils.

Seriously though, if I was partnered with a cop who was shot in the leg by someone known
to police, I'd certainly consider firing back.  People here are far too ready to jump on the "all
police are gun-happy bastards" bandwagon without even considering the actions of the often
criminal perpetrators.

And I acknowledge that the cop in this instance severely overreacted—or did he in the heat of the
moment when his partner was gunned down?  Would or could've Walker fired again?  Maybe not,
or maybe a dozen times—who's to know?  What would people here be saying if Walker had killed
the cop instead of "just" wounding him?

I find the consistent anti-cop sentiments expressed repeatedly here as ironical and bemusing,
considering that the American citizenry is the most heavily armed in the world—but complain
vehemently when a couple of inexperienced or gung-ho cops kill someone.  Look in your own
backyards first people, and think about the tens of thousands of firearm killings perpetrated by
civilians.  The number of inappropriate police shooting pales into the shadows with that sort of
comparison.

To date, there've been 506 civilians shot to death by US police, and 22,500 shot to death by other
civilians.    Which tells me that civilian firearm killings account for 98% of all firearm deaths.

—And also, in hindsight, before America made a folk hero out of George Floyd they should've checked
out his ten-year criminal history...
