The Damned Cops Are Out Of Control

Obviously I can't comment on American road rules, but here in Australia, a driver travelling the wrong way on
any street will be detained by police and charged with a breach of our road traffic rules.  It's also an offence
here to be parking and/or have parked a vehicle on the "wrong" side of the road.

Can someone confirm if this is the case in the US?  I've also not seen any footage of the initial confrontation
between the delivery driver and the traffic cop.  Did the driver respond aggressively, and/or refuse to obey a
lawful command?  Without knowing this, it's difficult to opine accurately.

I did; three or four times in order to determine where he was parked (the wrong way obviously).
It was of such short duration it was impossible to form any conclusions about the stop or the takedown.

It is clear that the truck was already stopped and the package delivered when the cop showed up...

Which, as I said is a breach of Aussie traffic regulations—including driving on the wrong side of the
road in order to get the vehicle in that position.  I'd imagine even in the US it's an offence to drive
on the wrong side of the road.  Can you confirm this is also true for the US?

Simply putting quotation marks around the word 'crime' doesn't negate the fact that (as far as I know )
the driver committed two driving offences.  Driving on the wrong side of the road puts oncoming motorists
in danger, and also puts any vehicles nearby who'll invariably be checking other vehicles' movements
from a specific perspective at risk.  If you're turning right out of a (US) side street or a driveway, you
have no expectation of confronting another vehicle head on, in the wrong lane; your last head check
will be to the left.
