I'm baaaaaack!
So when The Forum That Shall Not Be Named went down, I really had no desire to join a new one. There were a lot of good memories at the old forum: it was the first place I could be openly atheist and I met my husband there. And for all of it to just go down the toilet...  Yeah, kind of a bummer. So I just went away for a while.
But lately I've been feeling lonely and isolated at work. I work at an insurance company and live in a conservative state and all the other women in my department seem to be religious and only of the conservative Christian variety so there's not even any diversity in that way. Every time I start to think "Oh she's pretty cool" then the next thing out of her mouth is why she won't shop at Target anymore because of the transgender bathroom thing or they're singing the praises of Trump and then it's like "Yeah... no thanks, I don't want to hang out with you at all."
And on it goes. It's not even that I want to discuss religion with these people. I just want to feel like I can openly express my opinions and be myself without fear of being discovered as a "damn liberal". Plus the women at my work are all totally lame. They all like country music (barf), none of them play video games, and they don't read science fiction or fantasy. I remember some cool, oddball, awesome women on The Forum That Shall Not Be Named and hopefully they're still around.
I just need a place where I can go to have some feminine camaraderie, okay? 
Oh, and there were some cool dudes on the old forum, too.

Hobo was added just for you, and we went through a few before we found the *right* Hobo. We were using it as an Escape Artist attractant, and I see it worked. Yay for that!

I wasn't on the Forum That Shall Not Be Named but I'm a migrant from atheistforums.
I also work at an insurance company but I live in a liberal state. However, I work in suburbia - Stepford Wife-land as I call it - and don't have a lot in common with my coworkers. A number of them are religious and the favorite topics of conversation are What I Bought On Amazon and Our Home Remodeling Project.
