My sister in law voted for Brexit for similar reasons, although she didn't admit it to me. I heard about it from my mum. This despite her husband being German who was born there but immediately moved to England and can't speak the language (he's at a citizenship ceremony this week to become British).
Apparently this was a general opinio at her evangelical church.
