Alex Jones is known as the US far-right conspiracist who has
been peddling misinformation and dangerous lies on his site,
Infowars. For years in his early 20s, Josh Owens worked for
him, accepting his point of view. “Jones made the world seem
exciting
,” Owens says.

In 2012, a gunman walked into Sandy Hook elementary school
and killed 20 children and six adults. Jones used it as fodder on
his site. The children were alive, he said and the grieving parents
were actors; part of a government plot to disarm Americans.

Owens tells what it was like to work on the website—and how he
came to realise how wrong he had been. In 2018, Jones was sued
for defamation by the families. He was eventually ordered to pay
a record US$1.4bn in damages and filed for bankruptcy. Last Friday
Infowars recorded its final broadcast.

Now the site is on the verge of being taken over by the satirical
newspaper The Onion.    But is this really the end of Alex Jones?
Let's sincerely hope so.

Maybe atheism doesn't have burden of proof because it's impossible to prove an invisible, silent, utterly undetectable thing doesn't exist.

I'm listening to the voices right now. They have such great ideas.
My posts are best read in an sardonic tone of voice.

Well, that's perfectly OK until you start talking back to them I guess.    Dog

I'm in love with Annalise Mahanes, so any interpretation of any song is fine by me.    Heart

Another hit from my childhood,  In fact a one-hit wonder for
vocalist Joan Weber, who could never produce another hit that
even rated on US music charts.  She died, unknown and destitute,
in a New Jersey psychiatric hospital at age 45 in 1981.

"Let Me Go" sold over a million records, which in the 1950s was
a massive number.  Bill Haley's 1954 "Rock Around the Clock" sold
a similar number in that period, but went on to sell millions more
during the following decades.

Will anybody be playing Taylor Swift's lightweight
pop schmaltz in 70 years' time?   Nope.

My guilty pleasure lately has been AI remixes of video game soundtracks.

Even I have to admit some of it is pretty enjoyable.
